AISHA COSMETICS IS MAKING WAVES IN THE SKIN CARE INDUSTRY

Giwa Aishat Abiola is the CEO and founder of Aisha cosmetics & Aisha Shakara Station. She discovered her passion at a very young age and when the time came, she turned her childhood passion into a great business.

She says her journey so far has been very fulfilling and she has no regrets at all.

May we meet you?:  My name is Aisha Abiola Giwa, owner of Aisha Cosmetics and Aisha Shakara Station . Aisha cosmetics is an affordable brand that has been able to steal the hearts of many , we give you value for your money.

Tell us your Academic background?: I graduated from the University Of Lagos with a Second Class Upper ( 2:1) in Accounting.

Did you take up any job afterwards?: None

What inspired you to go into the skincare business?: I have always loved skincare since i was a kid. I remember saving aside as early as primary school to buy lotion. The general family cream was Vaseline and i was having none of that. It is a passion for me, i see it as a purpose.

Did you take any formal training on the business?: No, i am self trained.

What were the challenges you faced starting up your business?: I had challenges with funds.

How do you get clients?: I get my clients through my consistency and referrals. My instagram page is @aisha_cosmetics

Staff strength?:  There are eleven staff currently working with me.

What is your Long term vision for your company?:  To be a global skincare brand

Initial capital at start up?:  To be honest, no capital.

How would really explain starting with no capital at all, you did mention that funding was a challenge at the beginning?:  About the funds , writing can’t justify it hopefully later in the future I would get to talk about it.

Our readers aspiring to venture into a business like yours would like to know how you got your resources together: That would be a question for when we get to a greater stage by Gods grace.

What is the most exciting thing about your business?: The fact that people actually appreciate my products. My Queens (clients) believe in me. They practically do the talking and referrals .. it’s amazing when you do something and people actually get value. It’s very fulfilling.

How old is your business?: Three years plus.

Any advise for upcoming entrepreneurs?: They shouldn’t do it for the financial benefits alone , they should have the passion and be consistent.

Tell us why people should use your products: Not only am i good at what I do, my products are affordable yet so effective.

What’s the most difficult thing about your job?: Nothing for now really other than stress here and there. I’m one to always meet up target.

What are the services/brands of products you offer?: Skin consultation, maintenance, toning and lightening products. Face creams, body creams, scrubs etc.

Please tell us about Aisha Shakara Station:  Aisha shakara station is a bag brand but has been put on hold for now.
