Beyonce showed the world how bigger queens should stand up for young queens.
It was in the year 2009 at the MTV VMAs when popular American rapper Kanye West took the microphone from 17 years old Taylor Swift while she was about to give an appreciation speech for the award she had won that night.
Poor Taylor who had won Best Female Video award for her song titled ‘for you belong to me’ was left dumbfounded as Kanye went on to declare to the teeming audience why Beyonce should have won it instead.
Later on that night at the same award show, Beyonce won the award for Overall Best Video Of The Year for the song ‘ring on it’. She was 27 years old at that time.
Queen Bey did the most beautiful thing ever and gave up her moment to Taylor Swift. It was such a delight to see one queen standing up for another queen. It was the most respectable thing to do in that circumstance.
